Thank you for your interest in The Survey Shop. We are a rapidly growing market research company recruiting to expand our team of market research interviewers throughout the UK.

 

Are you suitable?

People of all kinds and ages from all over the country work for The Survey Shop. The work can be either telephone or face-to-face interviewing to find out people's opinions. We never sell anything. When an assignment comes up we normally send you a text message asking whether you are available, so you decide when you are going to work.

 

Where will I be working?

You will be based at home (we are in Shrewsbury but fellow interviewers are working from home all round the UK, from inner London to the very north of Scotland). For telephone interviews you will be using your own phone with all call charges automatically paid by us all you really need is a quiet room to work from and an ability to talk to people over the phone.

 

What training and support will I receive?

Before and during your first assignment an experienced interviewer and your assignment manager will have fully briefed you on what we will require and how you should start. They will supervise and help you and be available with whatever support or advice you may need.

 

How much will I earn?

We always pay per hour worked and never per interview. The rates of pay are as follows:

 

After the qualifying period you will also receive an additional payment of 8% as an equivalent to holiday pay, this is because you will always have the choice of whether to work at any particular time or on any particular assignment.

 

Can I be self-employed?

Probably not, you will have to have a tax reference number, and also prove that you are operating a genuine business and not simply trying to avoid having income tax deducted from your pay.

 

How much work will there be?

The hours of work available vary and there will be busier periods and quieter periods. You can always choose whether you want to work on an assignment.
